This last month, National Geographic did a piece in their magazine about the catacombs below the left bank of Paris. I mentioned it to Paul and he said, without missing a beat, "Yeah, we will do that the next time we are in Paris." I like this, because, like me, he completely takes for granted that we will be in Paris again soon. We know we will be there again. So, for now, I will have to content myself with thinking of Paris.

Anyway, the National Geographic article was fascinating. Whenever I think I want to stop getting that magazine, they come out with something really good in it. For me, that magazine is hit and miss (unlike NOVA, who seem to be able to make anything interesting- honestly, anything. I watched an entire show about volcanoes and it was honestly very, very good!) The article in Nat Geo about the catacombs made it seem so spooky and mysterious- with luck Nova will do a show on it for me!
I just can't wait to go back to Paris to be a proper tourist and see them.

I know it is popular in America to say disparaging things about Paris and some even want to take potshots at their food (remember Freedom Fries?) So, maybe I will do an entire posting in French and see if I get more/less hits from it (English Translation will be included, bien sûr!
